The main and core function of this department is to provide opportunity and help the students in getting an Internship & Jobs which is university requirement for the issuance of degree. This department is also responsible for issuance of recommendation letter to the students to apply for the internship with the help of recommendation from university. It will act as a bridge between the world of work and the academic environment.
We wish to commit ourselves to offering and exceptional level of service to both students and employers. It operates year-round to facilitate with the said services include, but are not limited to assisting employers, student and alumni in scheduling interviews, comprehensive resume review, create opportunities for internships, career fairs, project exhibitions & compiling and disseminating relevant organizational and job related data to graduates.
We also assist in coordinating employer visits to our campus which translates into positive public relations for the companies. Likewise, this type of interaction provides students with exposure to workplace in respective industries.
Internships & Job Placements
The Students Resource Centre markets the graduates of Bahria University, Karachi Campus to potential employers thus finding good jobs for them. Students Resource Centre finds jobs for students by personally meeting the potential employers and also through mail correspondence. We also hold Job Fairs at the Campus in every semester where the students and potential employers are given an opportunity to interact with each other. Job Fairs play an important role in job placement of our graduating students.

The Citibank is one of Global Consumer Bank. SRC organized the recruitment orientation session for graduating students of Bahria University Karachi Campus. Mr. Shahzad Ishaq Head of Cards Portfolio at Citibank shared his valuable experience with passing out graduates to guide them for their successful life in their professional career. Mr. Umer Abid Unit Head of Card acquiring business, Mr. Salman Haider Policy Manager & Mr. Atiq Syed Relationship Manager also brief about the career path for the successful career in Citibank.
1.1.10. HSBC Management Trainee Program
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world and having international network The HR team of HSBC invited to visit the Bahria University Karachi Campus and conducted the recruitment orientation session for graduating students of MBA.
The HR representative presented the presentation about the history of HSBC and guided the graduating students to career path in HSBC. At the end the question answer session was conducted and they distributed gifts to participants.

SRC invited the head of Human Resource Department of Meezan Bank to conduct the orientation session for the graduating students of Bahria University Karachi campus for their Trainee Officer Program 2009. The visit was one of like bridge between the universities and the corporate world.
1.1.12. Algorithm Consulting conducted test
SRC invited the Algorithm Consulting at Bahria University Karachi Campus to conduct the test and interviews on 29th May 2008. We facilitate them with presentation hall to present their organizational presentation. 29 students of Computer and Software Engineering attended the test. Interviews were conducted of short listed candidates at their Head Office. 3 Bahrians for the post of Software Engineers (Trainee), students were; Ms. Fizza Khorasany, Ms. Atya Saleem and Mr. Jawaad Haider.

The Graduate Directory posted to the HR Manager of Mobile Complete and sent invitation to conduct the test and interviews for short listed candidates. We facilitated them with the test hall and presentation hall to conduct the presentation. 15 students short listed for interviews. They conducted interviews to short list the internees for the summer 2008.

The seminar was held every semester and the Guest Speakers were from the corporate to spoke on the subject ‘How to prepare an effective CV & Interview Techniques’. It will help them in upcoming interviews for their internship in summer and the graduating students who selected for ongoing process of job finalizing in different MNCs and multinational Banks.
Career Fairs
The objective to organize Career Fairs is to provide a platform where students and people from the corporate world can interact. Its purpose is to provide a prospect of knowing each other. It will be highly beneficial for the student’s in-terms of getting awareness of the requirements of corporate world and shaping themselves accordingly. Through this event we can provide organizations to offer training/employment opportunities to the recently graduates of Bahria University. This career fair is meant to give the corporate representatives an opportunity to introduce their organization to our graduating students for entry-level and internship purposes. It will also be an opportunity for companies to introduce their products and services to our students who are about to enter into the professional world

Students Resource Centre invited the recruitment team of Proctor & Gamble for conducting the testfor Internship Program 2009. The students graduating in 2010 was eligible to attend the test. P & G is one of the Leading consumer Products. The students of Bahria University Karachi Campus attended the Orientation Session. The recruitment test was organized at auditorium and more than 100 students participated. At the end the Program Officer thanked to the team members of P&G.
1.1.2. Unilever U-Careers -11th February 2009
Students Resource Centre organizes different recruitment activities at the campus year around. The SRC invited Unilever to conduct the U-Careers Day at Bahria University Karachi Campus to conduct the Management Trainee test for graduating students. The HR Team of Unilever conducted the Internship Program Test for the students. Ms. Rahila Narejo was conducted the workshop for the students. At the end of the workshop they distributed gift hampers to the participants. The HR Team announces the result on the same Day and also conducted the interviews of the selected students. The SRC coordinated and the event was well organized.
1.1.3. Engro Group of Companies conducted Interviews for Internship program 2009 on 19th March 2009
The Program Officer conducted visits successfully to different organizations to invite them at the Career Fair 2009 organized in January 2009 Engro Group was also visited and invited to conduct the recruitment drive. The recruitment team of Engro Food visited Bahria University, Karachi Campus on 19th March 2009 for the fist time. The team conducted the presentation on the organization, working environment and their values. All students participated the session very energetically. The HR team Headed by Ms. Maha Usman Khan. The CVs of graduated students collected by the coordinators of SRC and submit to Ms. Maha. There were three panels for interviews. One was for marketing, second was for Finance and third one for the Human Resource.
1.1.4. Lipton Talent Hunt Program by Unilever 10th November 2008
Unilever announced a Intra University Business Plan competition with name of Lipton Talent Hunt Program to offer the real type projects. The challenge is to develop a business plan to launch / re-launch Lipton Teabags in the university. Lipton Talent Hunt is being organized in the top business universities of Pakistan in which one team from each university will represent Lipton in its own campus. The activity is aimed to give student a chance to deal with an actual market situation, where you will gauge your target market and come up with a comprehensive business plan and then execute it on-ground. Students participated in the competition.

UBL visited Bahria University on 23rd April,09 for its MTO program. An informative presentation was held on UBL’s Management Trainee Program followed by interviews of graduating students for MTO position. 50 students were shortlisted for the interviews. Finally selected student after panel interviews is Syed Furrukh Abbas.

The Director Recruitment visited SRC was discussed to conduct the orientation session of KESC Internship Program 2009 for the students of Bahria University Karachi Campus. 30 Students applied for the internship at KESC.
The orientation session was conducted on 24th April 2009 at 11:30am later on they conducted the test for the applicants. Finally following students have selected to join the Internship Program 2009.
